Welcome!

It all begins with an idea.

Hi everyone, and welcome to the very first KVGOC vlog! Kaur Vision Group of Consultants is a place where we help organizations grow with purpose, clarity, and community impact. This space is where we’ll share real stories, strategies, and lessons from our journey in consulting, leadership, and social impact.

KVGOC started with a simple vision: to help purpose-driven organizations turn their ideas into action. Whether it’s a foundation, a business, or a community initiative, our goal is to bring structure, strategy, and storytelling together — so great work can make an even greater impact.

In upcoming vlogs, we’ll share behind-the-scenes looks at client projects, consulting tips for nonprofits and small businesses, and conversations about building sustainable impact. Think of it as a blend of business strategy and community storytelling.

We’d love to hear from you! Follow our journey on Instagram @kvgoc_

Pain into Power

It all begins with an idea.

2018, I met with Jessice, who lost her brother to gang violence and had lost all control of everything. She told me during our first meeting that her brother was only a victim of standby violence. She told me during all the pain that was inflicted onto her family, Abbotsford News put her brother on the front page and labeled as a gangster, he was a recent graduate and had just turned 18. Soon those headlines were proven wrong, Jessica started a mentorship program at her brother’s school that year, and one of the graduates of that program is now in uniform, and only a few days ago during a traffic control, I ran into him. My first call after that was to Jessica, who fueled her pain into power, leaving all of us inspired and motivated. Did I mention the narrative was shifted, and a new front page was printed by the same news outlet, but this time a story of resilience was published honoring that victim. Jessica is an inspiration for many of us, and is someone you can connect with if you need any support.

Roundtables with CEOs

It all begins with an idea.

From sitting in round table discussions with federal ministers, provincial power holders, mayors, police chiefs, ceos and those with power.. discussing issues impacting children… to speaking in rooms full of hundreds addressing the premier and asking ‘whys’ for issues impacting those that are the most vulnerable, I have gotten applauses and pats on the back one too many times, and I am so grateful for being able to advocate and be the voice for many, Yes I am so grateful for the recognition, the platform, the praises, but all of that doesn’t amount to number of kids we have lost over the years. The pat on the back is not enough, we need to stand together. These are real lives that our actions impact every single day. Many over the year any are doing so well… it took an army of people… from many attending top notch undergraduate and graduate programs… the phone calls of request for references and then the good news of acceptances, so so truly thankful for all of that, but it is so difficult to put aside stories of young ones who have been failed, who have been hurt one too many times to trust anyone let alone me when we say. ‘ kid, we’ve got you, we will get past this’. We need to do more, and it will take all of us to make that difference. Question is, are you willing to take on the responsibility?

The WHY behind KVGOC

It all begins with an idea.

One of many special moments, receiving recognition for the work accomplished by the beautiful team at KidsPlay, presented by Janet Austin, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, at the Government House in Victoria. That was the last time my nanima was here, and I will always cherish this special memory of receiving the honour alongside the most resilient woman, my nanima. She raved about that moment back in her home, as I was told during my last visit to bid her goodbye. She always said to me in Punjabi, ‘kade haume nai aani chahidi, sun leya?’ translates to, ‘don't become egoistic or let ego get in the way, you hear me?’ Almost as if she knew what my path ahead was going to be.

I will be sharing more of her teachings, paying it forward..
